If you spend hours in front of a screen, blue light glasses are worth considering. The harmful blue light those screens emit can cause eye strain, headaches and disrupt your sleep. With CREST you protect your eyes effectively and avoid those negative effects.

Blue light is part of the visible light spectrum and typically falls between 380 and 500 nanometres (nm). It’s exactly this light that’s known to disrupt your sleep and cause digital eye strain — especially in the evening. The graphs below show real lab tests illustrating how much blue light each lens type blocks across this critical range:

30% Glasses

Lets most blue light through. Perfect for daytime use, when you want to reduce eye strain without changing how colours look.

98% Glasses

Blocks almost all blue light in the 380–500 nm range. The slightly orange tint in the lens is what makes such high blocking possible — making them ideal for evening hours when you're winding down and preparing for sleep.

Measured, not guessed

We don’t think you should just take our word for it. Both our lens types have been tested to the European (EN ISO 12312-1:2015), American (ANSI Z80.3-2015) and Australian/New Zealand (AS/NZS 1067-2016) standards, and the reports are freely available: Lab report – 30% blue light filter (PDF) and Lab report – 98% blue light filter (PDF). They show measured transmission from 280 to 780 nm — exactly how much light passes through at each individual wavelength, including how much of the blue light between 380 and 500 nm and of the UV radiation each lens type blocks.
